Get a panel change to show in Discord

Most panel settings work as soon as you save. Changes to the message itself need the panel posted again.

A panel is saved on the dashboard and posted as a message in Discord. They are not linked after posting: editing the panel never rewrites a message that is already in a channel.

What you need to do depends on what you changed:

  • Works as soon as you save: who can open tickets, support roles, category, limits, cooldowns, the form, and the message and buttons inside new tickets.
  • Needs the panel posted again: anything on the Embed tab. That is the panel message, the button text, emoji and colour, Button Type, Linked Panels and the FAQ button.

Open the panel

Open your dashboard and pick your server. In the sidebar, under Tickets, click Ticket Panels, then click the panel you changed.

Save first

If a bar is showing at the bottom of the page, press Save Changes. Posting does not save for you.

Post it

The channel picker and Send the Panel at the top of the page

  1. Open Channel to post panel in... and pick the channel the panel belongs in. The dashboard does not remember it, so it is empty every time.
  2. Press Send the Panel. Tickety posts a new message with your changes.

Delete the old message

In Discord, find the old panel message and delete it. Its button still works, but it keeps the old look, so members would keep using it.
