Entry Requirements and Luck

Entry rules answer two separate questions. Who is allowed in is handled by the role lists, and who has a better chance once they are in is handled by the luck modifiers. Both live on the configuration page, and both are copied into every new giveaway you create.

Entry Requirements

Four role lists, each one a dropdown you can pick several roles in.

• Required Roles - A member needs these to enter. Leave it empty and anyone can enter.
• Blocked Roles - A member holding any of these cannot enter.
• Bypass Roles - A member holding any of these skips both checks above and can always enter.
• Winner Roles - Roles handed to the winners automatically when a giveaway ends or is rerolled.

Pick two or more required roles and a switch appears under the dropdown: Members must have Any / All of the selected roles. It starts on Any.

Two things worth knowing about Winner Roles: Tickety cannot hand out a role that sits above its own highest role in your server settings, and the roles are given out again on a reroll.

These are defaults, not locks

Everything in this section is a starting point. When you create a giveaway, the wizard copies these lists into its Access and Winners steps under the names Allowed Entry Roles, Blocked Entry Roles, Requirement Bypass Roles and Winner Reward Roles, and you can change any of them for that one giveaway. Editing the defaults later never touches a giveaway that is already running.

Captcha Mode

Makes a member prove they are human before their entry counts. Three options:

• Disabled - The member joins the moment they press Participate. This is the default.
• Web Captcha - Tickety replies privately with Complete Giveaway Captcha and two buttons. Complete Captcha opens a page on tickety.top showing the prize, the winner count and when the link expires. Vote & Join Instantly joins them through a vote instead. Either route ends with Giveaway Joined.
• Discord Numpad Captcha 👑 - The member stays in Discord. They get a private image and a numpad, and press the numbers in the order shown. A wrong answer gives them a fresh image to try again.

If a member sits on the challenge too long they get Giveaway Captcha Expired, which tells them to press Participate again for a new one.

Luck Modifiers

Luck modifiers do not change who can enter. They change how many entries a member is counted with, and more entries means a better chance of being drawn.

• Vote Entries 👑 - Members who vote for Tickety earn extra entries. On for every server. Premium is what lets you turn it off, not on.
• Stack Multipliers 👑 - Decides what happens when a member holds more than one boosted role. Off by default.
• Boosted Roles - Give a role a luck multiplier. Click Add Boosted Role, pick the role, then drag the Multiplier slider between 1.5x and 5.0x in steps of 0.5.

Removing a boosted role asks you to confirm with Are you absolutely sure? first.

Stacking

• Stack Multipliers off: only their best boosted role counts.
• Stack Multipliers on: their boosted roles combine, so holding two boosted roles is worth more than holding one.

Vote entries, from the member's side

When Vote Entries is on, the giveaway message carries an Increase Your Chances link, and a member who has already joined sees the same link on their private confirmation. The rule Tickety shows them is:

• The first vote grants 1 extra entry.
• Every vote after that grants 0.5 extra entries.
• They can vote once every 12 hours.

Applying the rules to one giveaway

The role lists are always applied. The boosted roles are not: they only count when Boosted Roles Extra Entries is turned on for that giveaway, on the Access step of the wizard or in the Entry Rules block of the Discord builder. When it is on, the giveaway message gains a Boosted Roles field naming each role and its multiplier, so members can see what they are up against.

The limits are read when the giveaway is created. A running giveaway keeps the roles and multipliers it started with, even if your plan changes underneath it.

When a member cannot enter

Everything a member gets back is private to them, so a failed entry never clutters the channel.

A member who presses Leave Giveaway is removed from the draw and confirmed with Giveaway Left. They can press Participate again later.
