Reviewing Submissions
Read, accept and deny the applications your members send in.
Every finished application lands in two places at once: the Application Channel you picked on the panel, and the Submissions page in your dashboard. Both do the same job. Use the channel when you want your team to see the decision happen, and the dashboard when you want to work through a backlog quickly.

Open your Tickety Dashboard. Log in using your Discord Account.

Select "Submissions".
Reviewing in Discord
A new submission is posted as a review card in the panel's Application Channel. If Tag Review Role is on for that panel, the Review Role is pinged with it.
The card carries the applicant, the panel name and their answers. Long applications are split across pages, so the card gains Previous and Next buttons when the answers do not fit on one.
Under the answers you get:
- Accept - Opens a small form where you type a reason, then accepts the application.
- Deny - The same form, for a denial.
- User History - Shows what this member has applied for before on this panel.
- Open Interview - Opens a ticket with the applicant so you can talk to them before deciding. The panel's Interview Ticket Panel setting decides which ticket panel is used, and if you left it empty you are asked to pick one.
- View Uploads - Only appears when the application contains image answers. It shows them to you.
The reason form is titled Application Review and has a single Reason field. Leave it empty and the applicant is sent your Default Accept Reason or Default Deny Reason from General Settings.
Anonymous submissions carry no account. There is nobody to tell and nobody to give roles to, so the card shows the answers without any Accept or Deny button.
The Submissions page
Four figures sit at the top of the page:
| Figure | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Pending Queue | Submissions still waiting on a decision |
| Reviewed | Everything already accepted or denied, split out underneath |
| Acceptance Rate | Accepted as a share of everything reviewed |
| Avg Review Time | How long a submission waits before someone decides, with the share reviewed within 24 hours underneath |
Searching and filtering
The search box filters the queue by applicant username as you type. Next to it, Filters opens the rest:
- All, Pending, Accepted, Denied - The status row across the top. Pick one.
- Date Range - Limits the queue to submissions sent between two dates. Pick a single day or a range.
- Panel - Limits the queue to one application panel. Defaults to
All panels. - Applicant - A second, narrower filter on the applicant.
Nothing runs until you press Apply Filters. Clear filters puts everything back.
The queue
Each row shows the Applicant, the Panel, the Status and when it was Submitted. Click a row to open it. The menu on the right of a row gives you View Details, Accept, Deny, and Delete if you are allowed to delete.
Reading one submission
The detail pane opens under the heading Submission Details, with arrows at the top to step to the previous or next submission without going back to the queue.
- The applicant card counts their Total Applications, and how many are Pending, Accepted and Denied. A member who has applied six times and been denied five is worth a second look.
- Beside it sit the Panel, the Submitted time, the Submission ID, and once a decision is made, Reviewed At and Reviewed By.
- Moderation Actions holds the Accept and Deny buttons. Once a submission has been decided, it says so instead.
- Review Reason shows the reason the applicant was given.
- Every answer is then listed as its own card, tagged
Text Response,ChoiceorUpload. A card also carries aRequiredtag, aFollow-uptag when Tickety asked the question off the back of an earlier answer, and aTime limittag when the clock ran out on it. Blank answers read asSkipped by applicant.,No answer provided.orTime limit reached before this was answered., so you can tell a skip from a timeout. Uploaded images open full size when clicked.
Accepting and denying
Pressing Accept or Deny opens a confirmation with one field:
- Acceptance Note (Optional) - Sent to the applicant with your acceptance. Up to 1000 characters.
- Denial Reason (Optional) - The same field on a denial.
Leave it empty and the applicant gets the Default Accept Reason or Default Deny Reason from General Settings.
After you decide, Tickety opens the next pending submission for you, so you can work straight down the queue. When there is nothing left, it tells you there are no more pending submissions.
Deciding from the dashboard and deciding from Discord are the same action. Whichever you use:
- The review card in the Application Channel is updated in place, so nobody reviews it twice.
- A log is written to the panel's Log Channel.
- The Accept or Deny role actions you configured on the panel's Roles tab are applied.
If the roles could not be applied, the reviewer is told. That normally means Tickety is missing the Manage Roles permission, or its highest role sits below a role it was asked to give or take.
What the applicant receives
The applicant gets a direct message titled Application Accepted or Application Denied, naming the panel and your server, with the conclusion, the reason and who reviewed it.
Turn on Anonymous Reviews on the panel and the reviewer's name is left out of that message. Your own staff still see who decided, on the review card and in the log channel.
If the applicant has closed their direct messages, the decision still stands and the reviewer is told the applicant could not be notified.
AI assisted screening
If a panel has Automatic Application Review switched on, Tickety takes a first look at each submission before your staff do. What you see as a reviewer:
- The review card in Discord gains an AI Overview note explaining what it flagged and a suggested deny reason, plus a Quick Deny button that denies with that reason already filled in.
- The dashboard shows the same thing as an AI Review Warning on the submission, and the Deny button opens with the suggested reason prefilled.
- If a trigger is set to deny immediately, the submission arrives already denied, and the applicant has already been told.
This is a first pass, not a verdict. You can override it on every submission, and you can turn the whole thing off on the panel's AI tab by switching Automatic Application Review back off, or turn off individual triggers and leave the rest. It spends AI credits while it is on.
Reviewing with commands
You do not need the dashboard or the review card to decide.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/application accept | Accepts an application |
/application deny | Denies an application |
/application info | Shows a summary of one application |
/application accept and /application deny both take:
- application - Required. Start typing a panel name, an applicant name or an applicant ID and pick from the list. Only submissions that are still waiting on a decision are offered.
- reason - Optional. Left empty, your default accept or deny reason is used.
An application that someone else already handled replies Application Already Reviewed. Anonymous submissions cannot be accepted or denied at all.
/application info takes the same application option and replies with the panel, the application ID, the applicant, when it was submitted and its current status. A Handle Application button under it opens the full answers.
Who can review
Anyone in this list can review a submission, in Discord and through the commands:
- The panel's Review Role. This works on its own, without any Discord permission.
- Your Tickety admin role.
- Anyone with the Administrator permission.
- Any role you allowed through Command Permissions.
For the dashboard, there is one more option. Under Settings then Access Control, the Application Submissions rule lets a role open the Submissions page and review submissions without handing them the rest of the dashboard. Those roles see only the Submissions entry in the sidebar, and cannot delete submissions.
Deleting a submission
Delete Submission in the detail pane, or Delete in the row menu, removes a submission from your records permanently. It is only offered to people with full dashboard access, and it cannot be undone. Denying keeps the record, so deny rather than delete unless you actually want the history gone.
Where to go next
- General Settings: the default accept and deny reasons, and what happens when an applicant leaves.
- Application Questions: what your applicants are asked, and the answer types you can use.
- Inactivity Notifications: nudge your staff when a submission sits unreviewed.
- Making a Basic Application Panel: build the panel these submissions come from.
