Applying in the Browser

Let members fill out an application on the website instead of in their Discord DMs.

This feature is rolling out. If you do not see it in your dashboard yet, it is on the way.

Applications do not have to be answered in Discord. A panel can send the applicant a private link to a form on the website, where they answer one question per screen with their progress saved as they go. Long applications, uploads and anyone with closed DMs all go better in the browser.

Access the Web Dashboard

Open your Tickety Dashboard. Log in using your Discord Account.

  1. Once logged in, click on "Application Panels" in the sidebar under the APPLICATIONS category.

  2. Open the panel you want to edit, stay on the "General" tab, and open the "Application Settings" section.

Choose where members apply

Apply Method decides where the form opens. It is set per panel and starts on Discord DMs.

SettingWhat the member gets
Discord DMsTickety opens a DM and asks the questions one message at a time.
WebsiteA private reply titled Continue on the Web with a Fill Out Application button.
BothA private reply titled Choose How to Apply with Continue in DMs and Fill Out on the Web.

The reply is only visible to the member who pressed the button, so their link is never shown to the channel.

On Both, a member whose DMs are closed is offered Fill Out on the Web Instead when the DM fails to arrive, so they are not stuck. On Discord DMs they are only pointed at the open DMs guide.

What the applicant sees

The browser form is your panel, rendered as a page. Your Information Embed becomes the welcome screen, your questions become the form, and your Finish Embed becomes the success screen.

  1. The welcome screen shows your server name and icon, your information message, how many questions there are, and how long they have. They press Continue to begin, or Cancel to walk away.
  2. One question per screen, with a progress bar and a 2 / 7 counter at the top. Back returns to an earlier question, Next moves on, and an optional question shows Skip instead of Next until it is answered.
  3. The review screen lists every answer before anything is sent. With Modify Answers Before Submitting 👑 turned on they can go back and edit any of them. Without it, they can read the answers but not change them.
  4. Submit application sends it to your review team, and the success screen confirms it.

Each answer is saved as the applicant moves past it, so a closed tab, a dead battery or a lost link does not cost them their work. Sending them back to the panel button gives them a fresh link into the same unfinished application, at the same deadline.

A member can only have one application running at a time, in DMs or in the browser, and never both at once.

Require Discord Sign-In to Apply 👑

Off by default, and only shown when Apply Method is Website or Both.

With it on, the applicant has to sign in with Discord before the form opens, so a link forwarded to a friend cannot be filled out by that friend. Someone signed in as the wrong account is told Wrong Discord account and offered the chance to sign in with another one.

Leave it off when you would rather people applied with the least friction possible. Turn it on when the application decides who gets a role or a rank.

Shareable Link publishes one address anyone can open in a browser, without you posting the panel embed in your server at all. It is off by default.

  • Turn it on and save. The link only appears once the panel has been saved.
  • The copy button puts the link on your clipboard.
  • The regenerate button issues a new link. It takes effect on your next save, and every copy of the old link stops working the moment it does.

This is the option for a form that lives outside Discord: a link in your community rules, a post on your website, a message to somebody who has not joined yet.

Allow Anonymous Submissions 👑

Only shown while Shareable Link is on, and off by default.

With it on, the welcome page offers Continue without signing in underneath the usual Discord button. The applicant is told plainly that nothing is recorded about who they are.

An anonymous submission carries no account. It can never be accepted or denied, and the person who sent it never hears back. Use this for feedback and suggestion forms, never for staff applications.

👑

This feature requires a Premium Subscription.

Applicants only ever see a short explanation and are told to start again from your server. These are the reasons behind it:

What they seeWhy

Already submittedThe application behind that link has already been sent in.
Wrong Discord accountRequire Discord Sign-In to Apply is on and they are signed in as somebody else.
Application CooldownThe panel's Application Submission Cooldown has not run out for them yet.
Required Roles or Blocked RoleThe panel's role rules do not let them apply.
Pending Applications LimitThey already have as many unreviewed applications on this panel as you allow.
Panel DisabledApplication Enabled is off on that panel.
