Tickety Passes a Quarter of a Million Discord Servers

Tickety is now in over a quarter of a million Discord servers. Here is our thank you, and everything that shipped with it: walkthroughs, rebuilt analytics, per panel access control, new automation triggers, a Minecraft integration and shareable templates.

Tickety is a Discord bot for tickets, applications, verification and giveaways, and it is now in over 250,000 servers. We have been staring at that number for a while, and it still does not feel real.

Thank you

Every one of those servers started with someone finding a bot they had never heard of and trusting it with the part of their community where things go wrong. The upset member, the ban appeal, the conversation a moderator needs to have in private. You trusted us with that before we had earned it.

Plenty of you found us because another admin mentioned us, and a lot of you went on to shape the bot, writing up bugs at 3am and sending feature requests longer than our own design docs. Some of you have been here since the first hundred servers, back when the bot went down more often than it stayed up, and stayed anyway.

We read every one of those messages, and many of them sparked long debates on our team. This milestone is as much yours as it is ours, built one server at a time. Thank you, genuinely, from all of us.

The only thank you we know how to write is a better bot, so here is what shipped.

Walkthroughs: ask the dashboard a question

Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) or the help button and type what you want to do. Type "add support roles" and Tickety opens the right page, spotlights the exact setting, and waits until you have filled it in before moving on.

Every walkthrough is written by hand, not generated. The longest one guides you through setting up linked panels from start to finish.

Analytics, rebuilt into eight tabs

Analytics now has one tab per module: Tickets, Applications, Verification, Giveaways, Welcomer, Polls, Honeypot and AI. Tickets and Applications can be filtered to one or more panels, and the filter applies to every number on the tab, all time totals included.

  • Response times, with an expected line showing what a normal reply time looks like for your team at that point in the week.
  • An hourly arrival heatmap, so you can see when tickets come in and staff your busiest hours.
  • Per staff and per panel breakdowns of closes, replies and messages.
  • Ratings with their review text, in the Tickets tab instead of buried in a log channel.

The analytics docs explain what every number means.

Access control, per panel

Dashboard access is no longer all or nothing. An access control rule can now be limited to specific ticket and application panels, so a role can have Ticket Management on two panels and see nothing else. Reviewers for staff applications no longer see ban appeals, and the other way round.

A rule can also name a single member instead of a role, for the one trusted helper who should not need a role made for them. Set it up under Settings, then Access Control, using this guide.

Automations, upgraded

Flows built from several linked automations are far easier to make now, and new triggers let an automation start from more of what happens in your server, not only from a message someone sends.

Every trigger is listed in the triggers docs.

Minecraft integration

Tickety now connects to your Minecraft server. Install the Tickety Integration plugin next to DiscordSRV on a Paper or Spigot server, paste its token into the dashboard, and the Minecraft account a member linked through DiscordSRV becomes available in your messages.

Greet someone by their Minecraft username in a ticket welcome, check whether they are online right now, or see when they first joined and last played, all through placeholders like {minecraft.player.username}. It is free on every server, and sits alongside the existing Bloxlink integration for Roblox. The integrations guide covers the setup.

Shareable templates

Save a ticket panel or an application panel as a template and share it as a link. Whoever opens the link adds a copy to their own templates and can use it on any server they manage. Running a network of servers, or helping a friend set up theirs, no longer means rebuilding the same panel by hand.

Everything else in this update

  • 100 application questions. Premium servers can now set up to 100 questions per application.
  • Ratings in close requests. When a member accepts a close request, they can rate the ticket in the same step. See ticket ratings.
  • Text in forms. Forms now support text displays, so instructions can sit between questions.
  • Separate inactivity channels. Tickets and applications each get their own.
  • Dashboard improvements. Tweaks to forms, application questions and plenty more, so the whole dashboard feels smoother.
  • Rewritten docs. The documentation is rewritten from the ground up, and every guide has a button that takes you straight to the right spot in your dashboard.

Here is to the next quarter of a million

Everything above is already live on every server running Tickety. There is nothing to install and nothing to migrate, and your existing panels, tickets and settings keep working exactly as they did. We are not going anywhere.

If Tickety is not on your server yet, add it here and follow the setup guide.

Frequently asked questions

How do I give a staff role access to only one ticket panel?

In the Tickety dashboard, open Settings, then Access Control. Turn on Enable Access Control, add a rule for the role, switch on Ticket Management, and pick the panel under Panels. Leaving Panels on All panels covers every panel, including ones you add later. You can also add a rule for a single member instead of a role.

Can a Discord bot show a member's Minecraft username?

Tickety can, through its free Minecraft integration. Your Minecraft server needs DiscordSRV and the Tickety Integration plugin, and members need to link their accounts through DiscordSRV. After that, placeholders like {minecraft.player.username} and {minecraft.player.online} work in your ticket and application messages.

How do I copy a ticket panel to another Discord server?

Save the panel as a template in the Tickety dashboard and share its link. Opening the link adds a copy to your templates, and you can use it on any server you manage. This works for ticket panels and application panels.
