Member Milestones
Celebrate the member who takes your server past a round member count.
A milestone is a member count worth celebrating, such as 1,000 members. When a join takes your server past one, that member gets a welcome card with a badge line across the top, and your welcome channel can say something different for that one join.
Everything else stays as it is. The member still gets their normal roles, their DM and the rest of the welcome.
Access the Web Dashboard
Open your Tickety Dashboard. Log in using your Discord Account.
Navigate to Member Milestones
-
Once logged in, locate and click on the "Welcomer" section in the sidebar, then select "Configuration".
-
Open the Member Milestones section on the page.
Turn it on
Milestone Celebrations switches the whole section on. It is off by default.
Turning it on records where your server is now, so your first celebration is the next milestone you reach. A count your server has already passed never fires.
If you add one anyway, the dashboard tells you straight away, for example Your server already has 4,200 members, so 1,000 will not fire. The section is also marked with a warning if it is switched on with nothing listed to celebrate.
Choosing your milestones
The Milestones field holds every count you want to celebrate. Type one and press Enter, then type the next.
There are two kinds of entry:
- A plain number, such as
1000, is a one off. It is celebrated once and then it is done. every 1000repeats forever, so 1,000 members, 2,000 members, 3,000 members and onwards.
New servers start with 500 members and Every 1,000 members already filled in.
The field is forgiving about how you type a number. All of these work:
| You type | It becomes |
|---|---|
1000 | 1,000 members |
10k | 10,000 members |
1.5k | 1,500 members |
2m | 2,000,000 members |
1,000 members | 1,000 members |
every 1000 | a repeating milestone every 1,000 members |
100, 500, 1000 pasted in | three milestones at once |
The rules it holds you to:
| Rule | What happens |
|---|---|
| Up to 25 one off counts | You can add up to 25 one off milestones. |
| One repeating rule | A second one replaces the first, and Tickety says which one it kept |
| Repeating counts start at 10 | A repeating milestone has to be every 10 members or more. |
| Nothing above 10,000,000 | Milestones have to be under 10,000,000. |
| Numbers only | Use a number, like 1000 or 10k, or "every 1000" to repeat. |
The milestone card
- Card Badge - The line drawn across the top of the welcome card on a milestone join. Up to 100 characters, with a live counter, placeholder suggestions and an emoji picker. Leave it empty to keep the card exactly as it is.
- Badge Color - The colour of that line, as a hex value. Defaults to
#ffd479. - Card Background -
Same as welcomekeeps your usual background.Milestone onlylets the celebration stand out with a different one.
The badge starts as:
🎉 {number:{milestone.count}} MEMBERSA milestone background has to be one of the six supplied backgrounds. Transparent and uploaded images are not offered here. Your pick is remembered, so switching back to Same as welcome and out again does not lose it.
The Preview underneath shows the card as the member who reaches your soonest milestone will see it, which is the lowest count you have configured.
The badge is drawn on the card itself, so it appears wherever the card is attached, including the welcome DM.
The milestone message
Milestone Message replaces the text of your welcome message for that one join. It takes up to 2000 characters and starts as:
🎉 **{guild.name}** just reached **{number:{milestone.count}}** members! Welcome {member.mention}, and thanks to everyone who got us here.Leave it empty and the normal welcome text is used, so the card badge is the only difference members see.
A welcome message built in the components layout has no text line for this field to replace. Write {milestone.count} into your own blocks there instead.
The welcome DM keeps its usual text on a milestone join. If you want the DM to react as well, put the milestone placeholders in the DM text itself.
Milestone placeholders
These three work in the welcome message and the welcome DM.
| Placeholder | What it becomes |
|---|---|
{milestone.count} | The count this join just reached. Empty on an ordinary join |
{milestone.next} | The next milestone your server is heading for |
{milestone.remaining} | How many members are still to go until that next milestone |
{milestone.next} and {milestone.remaining} resolve on every join, so you can run a countdown in your ordinary welcome text:
Welcome {member.mention}! Only {milestone.remaining} more members until {number:{milestone.next}}.Wrap any of them in the number parser to print separators, so {number:{milestone.count}} gives 10,000 rather than 10000.
Things to expect
- A milestone fires when a join takes you past the count, not only when it lands on it exactly. A server that jumps from 999 to 1,001 still celebrates 1,000.
- Each count is celebrated once.
- Counts you had already passed before switching milestones on are never celebrated.
- With Wait for Verification on, the celebration lands when the member passes verification, along with the rest of their welcome.
Where to go next
- Welcome Card: the layout and background the badge is drawn on.
- Welcome and Leave Messages: the message the milestone text replaces.
- Welcomer: the master switch, automatic roles and verification behaviour.
