# Available Commands (/reference/commands)

Type `/` in any channel and Discord lists the commands Tickety has added to your server. Almost every command only works inside a server, because it acts on that server's tickets, panels or settings, and a handful also work in a direct message with Tickety. You decide which roles may run each command, and which channels they may run it in, from [Command Permissions](/server/command-permissions).

<Callout type="info">
  `/reminder`, `/ticket resolve`, `/ticket inactivity`, `/request ticket` and `/request application` are rolling out. If you do not see them in your server yet, they are on the way.
</Callout>

## Who can run a command [#who-can-run-a-command]

Three things decide it, and Tickety checks all three:

* **The Tickety admin role**: Set it with `/adminrole` or in your server settings. Anyone holding it can run the staff commands, see every ticket and review applications.
* **Panel roles**: A support role on a ticket panel unlocks the `/ticket` commands on that panel's tickets. A review role on an application panel unlocks the `/application` commands for that panel.
* **Discord permissions**: The usual fallback. Manage Server for setup commands, Manage Channels for ticket and giveaway commands, Manage Messages for `/purge`.

Server administrators and the server owner can always run everything, the same way Discord behaves. To hand a command to a role that does not have the usual Discord permission, or to take one away, use **Command Permissions**.

The same rules decide what a command suggests while you type. Applications, giveaways, ticket panels, past close reasons and the polls in `/poll end` and `/poll delete` only show in the list to members who may run that command. A reviewer only sees the applications of the panels they review. Everyone else gets no suggestions.

## Tickets [#tickets]

Most `/ticket` commands are run inside the ticket channel itself.

| `/request ticket`              | `user` (required), `panel` (required), `reason` (optional) | Sends a member a direct message asking them to open a ticket, with a button on the panel you chose.                                                           |

**Create Ticket From Message** is a right click command, not a slash command, so it never appears when you type `/`.

Tickets in thread mode cannot be moved or transferred, and cannot take a notes thread.

| `/help` | `command` (optional) | Opens the help centre. Type a command name to look that one up. |
| `/dashboard` | None | Gives you a button that opens the web dashboard. |
| `/invite` | None | Gives you the button to add Tickety to another server. |
| `/support` | None | Gives you the button to join Tickety's support server. |
| `/vote` | None | Gives you the two vote buttons for Tickety. |
| `/botinfo` | None | Shows Tickety's own numbers: servers, members, uptime and lifetime totals. |
| `/serverinfo`  | None                                        | Shows your server's details and its Tickety statistics.                                                                                            |

`/reminder`, `/help`, `/dashboard`, `/invite`, `/support` and `/vote` also work in a direct message with Tickety.

On a free server `/leaderboard` covers the last 7 days and says so on the result, and the activity card in `/history` covers up to 30 days.

| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `/blacklist`   | `user` (required), `category` (optional), `reason` (optional), `duration` (optional) | Stops a member from using Tickety, either everywhere or in one area. `category` is `Global`, `Tickets`, `Applications` or `Giveaways`. Leave `duration` empty to blacklist permanently. |
| `/unblacklist` | `user` (required), `category` (optional)                                             | Lifts a blacklist. Leave `category` empty to lift whatever they have.                                                                                                                   |
| `/purge` | `amount` (required) | Deletes 1 to 100 recent messages in the channel you run it in. Discord refuses to bulk delete anything older than two weeks, so older messages are skipped. |

The `reason` on `/blacklist` takes up to 80 characters, and every blacklist change is written to your log channel.

## Setup and Admin [#setup-and-admin]

| Command                 | Options                                 | What it does                                                                                                                                                                |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `/quicksetup` | None | Walks you through the shortest possible setup: an admin role, a log channel and a channel for your first ticket panel. Only works on a server that has not been set up yet. |
| `/adminrole` | `role` (required) | Picks the role that counts as Tickety's admin role. `@everyone` cannot be used. |
| `/logchannel`           | `type` (required), `channel` (optional) | Chooses where Tickety writes its logs. `type` is `All (General, Verifications, Giveaways)`, `General`, `Verifications` or `Giveaways`.                                      |
| `/language` | `language` (required) | Changes the language Tickety speaks in your server. 16 languages are available. |
| `/configurator` | None | Opens a settings menu inside Discord, so you can change most of your setup without leaving the server. |
| `/sendticketpanel` | None | Posts one of your ticket panels into the current channel. |
| `/sendapplicationpanel` | None | Posts one of your application panels into the current channel. |
| `/sendfaqpanel` | None | Posts one of your FAQ panels into the current channel. |
| `/debug` | None | Runs a health check on your server and hands you a diagnostics ID you can give to support. |
| `/reset` | `target` (required) | Wipes a chosen slice of your Tickety data. Only the server owner can run it. |

Leaving `channel` empty on `/logchannel` for `Verifications` or `Giveaways` makes those logs follow the general channel, so moving the general channel later moves them too. Ticket and application panels keep their own log channel, set per panel.

`/reset` targets are `All Data`, `All Settings (eg. Settings, Panels, ...)`, `Ticket Logs`, `Application Logs`, `Giveaway Logs` and `Verification Logs`. You confirm first, and the wipe cannot be undone.

Tickety needs View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in the channel you post a panel into. `/statusboard` also needs Read Message History, because it keeps editing its own message.

## Options you will see a lot [#options-you-will-see-a-lot]

* **Duration options**: `duration` on `/blacklist` and `/giveaway create`, and `timeout` on `/ticket requestclose`, suggest common values and also accept anything you type, like `2w` or `36h`.
* **Time range options**: `timerange` on `/history` and `/leaderboard` suggests `Last 24 hours` through `Last year`, and also accepts free text like `6w`.
* **Search options**: `application`, `panel` and `giveaway` list what your server actually has as you type, so you do not need to remember an ID.
* **Reason options**: Reasons are shown to your staff in the logs, and on close they are shown to the member as well.

## Where to go next [#where-to-go-next]

* [Command Permissions](/server/command-permissions): allow or deny each command per role, per member and per channel.
* [New Ticket Command](/tickets/ticket-commands): the settings behind `/new`, including the panels members can pick.
* [Application Command](/reference/commands): the same settings for `/apply`.
* [Ticket Request Command](/tickets/ticket-commands): what your staff can send with `/request ticket`.
* [Blacklists](/tickets/block-member-tickets): what a blacklist blocks, and how to manage them from the dashboard.

## Commands that need Premium 👑 [#commands-that-need-premium-]

`/ticket autoclose`, `/ticket inactivity` and `/application inactivity` answer with a notice on a free server. So does `/ticket resolve`, which additionally needs the AI addon and available [AI credits](/premium/aicredits).
